About Me
I am a 4th grade teacher at Whiteland Elementary School. You will find me in room 405! I began my teaching career in 2000 after graduating from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Elementary Education. After my marriage in 2000, my husband and I moved to Terre Haute, IN. I began teaching 6th grade at West Vigo Middle School. We stayed in Terre Haute until the summer of 2003 and then moved to Greenwood, IN when my husband accepted a new job in Martinsville. Our oldest son turned 1 the day we moved! I quickly accepted a position in Special Education at Center Grove High School. I was a member of the Center Grove team until 2006. My daughter was born in early 2005 and after returning for the semester after my maternity leave, I decided to stay home with my children. We welcomed a third child (a boy) in 2007 and just 6 months later our family moved to LLantwit Major, Wales in Great Britain for a 2 year expat assignment. We enjoyed seeing much of Great Britain and Europe and after moving home I began my teaching career again at Whiteland Elementary as a resource teacher in 2012. I taught 3rd grade for 3 years before moving up to 4th grade!
